"That depends," Remus answered carefully, smiling a greeting to James at the same time. Sun and vacation appeared to have done the young man's health some good. That was all to the good in Remus' book. Hopefully it had done Pads some good as well.
"Does it look like the uncle and lover are about to get into a physical confrontation? Or just yell and make fools of themselves?" Taking a swig of his butterbeer, Remus then used it to illustrate his explanations with a gesture. "If it's the former, I'd hex neither of them. Hopefully they both love me enough to not hurt me and I can get between them to force the issue that either one has to go through me to get to the other. If the later, a local area effect silencing spell over the portion of the garden where they're arguing should effectively end the argument without either one feeling you love the other one more."
Raising an eyebrow, he asked, "Should I be worried about whatever prompted that hypothetical question?"
