Molly turned with a bowl of salad, contemplating the other things she had to fit, smiling at the sight of young Cedric. Young. Alive. Today would prove to be more a celebration of life and health than she'd planned.
"Cedric, love. You're never an interruption. Would you mind taking this?" She handed him the large bowl of mixed greens, then turned to pick up a platter of sliced ham and beef.
"Bring that along outside? It's lovely to see you. How are you?" She made her way outside to the tables set up for food with her unwitting volunteer. "Just put it there on the end by the corn."
