She shrugged, as if she didn't care about having to give up her job at the wand shop even though Minerva had cried for the rest of the day after sending the owl to her former employer. Minerva had loved working there.
"S'okay. Things just don't work out the way you might think, yeah? I'll find something else soon," she told Atlas, though her voice didn't have as much conviction as she intended.
She raised an eyebrow and quelled the urge to snort. So, Atlas was still hanging around Ronan like that. Well, surprise surprise she thought to herself.
"Well, if you do then good luck with that," Minerva offered.
She knew what old 'friend' Atlas talked about and her stomach knotted. Minerva had gone out at the full moon to forget about her worries for him. Ended up getting bitten and turned into a vampire for it. Now Atlas was telling and showing her that she had been right to worry.
