As much as she was loathe to spend any amount of time in a place such as the Leaky Cauldron, Millicent forced herself to. She must. One did not sit up in their flats all day staring at the walls. That lead to madness and the trappings of her own mind and Millicent had had enough of that... before.
She was a new person now, if not in body, than in spirit. She was not trapped by social conventions. She was able to do as she pleased. Only she did not know what pleased her.
There had been a time when she had thought returning to Hogwarts would be her goal, but then she had found out Neville Longbottom was Headmaster. Dumbledore was bad, but at least he was competent. She doubted the same could be said for the Longbottom she knew. But that still left her without the benefit of a practical education and she was forced to self-educate until proper tutors could be procured.
In addition to her appalling lack of education, there was also the issue of her increasing agoraphobia. It was not going to rule her, Millicent was adamant. She had been locked in a cage so long by another that she refused to let her fears do the same. So she forced herself to the Leaky Cauldron in hopes of proving to herself that she was not afraid
