"Yeah and a random Muggle place wouldn't be private?" he asked with a laugh, sticking his tongue out. "You're definitely a romantic, but hey, I won't tell Sirius. If he can go here, and not figure that one out, then I think you're safe."
He tried to stop being amused when Jamie went on, because he realised the problem but gods the image of the perfect wedding being arranged on Saturday was too amusing not to block out of his head. If he thought it wuold happen, he might have decided to go.
"Sorry," he half laughed. "I know that isn't amusing, but it sort of is." He then looked up at Jamie, pulling himself together and smiling. "Look at it this way, they all know now, and they didn't bitch about it because you were dying - and now it's too late to bitch about it, so you got out of one problem easily enough."
"And as for the marriage, just tell them you're taking it slow and getting to know each other properly now that you have time, to find out if you're suitable or some crap like that. It should buy you at least a few months. And if it doesn't say you're no sure you're gay, that ought to make them uncomfortable enough not to ask."
"If even that doesn't help, just say you want kids one day. Your grandmother will be knitting their clothes before the evening is over and everyone will be back to asking you if you've found a suitable young girl yet." The surprise wedding was still an utterly amusing idea though.
