Cass shook his head, though he wasn't sure why. It was a good offer, but then he didn't much care for secrets. "It's all right," he said, reminded by the comment about the man next to him being a werewolf. He wasn't particularly fond of that, but somehow with a man who had been his teacher for a year it was easier to stomach.
Not easy, but easier. He preferred not to think of that fact, because he had liked Lupin as a teacher, and the fact that he was a werewolf clashed with what he usually believed. So he ignored it. It was easier anyway.
"I'm just not used to other people being around when I'm expressing any kind of emotion," he admitted. "Maybe that's why I've never been much of a father." And why was he saying these things at all? It was so far removed from who he normally was. Facts, yes, but emotions?
