"It's all right," Dylan said to James. "If we live, I will stay away. I've already told Lori as much. I realise I don't know him well enough, I told him to move on."
He looked at Sandy. "You need to tell him that too. Regardless of what happens, he's better of without me." And it was harder to say that than he wanted to admit. But it didn't matter, he didn't trust Lori, knew he couldn't now, and even if that didn't matter now that he was dying - he didn't need to cause Lori the pain of watching him die.
"Tell him, tell him I want him to be happy, with someone who actually knows him."
