To say that he was uncomfortable and awkward was an understatement and for drifting in and out of sleep between attacks, this was a really crappy time to be awake.
He held his tongue, while battling between wanting to defend himself and ask how Lori was holding up. Of course the latter was fairly evident from what Sandy was saying.
"For what it's worth, I never wanted him to cry," he said hoarsely, his throat hurting from throwing up too much, in spite of the potions. "Not that it matters, it's not like I'll be around much longer anyway."
