RP: James, Sirius Who: James, Sirius Where: Godric's Hollow When: Early morning, 28 November, 2024 Rating/Warnings: Summary: James and Sirius talk after a restless night
While lying was easy during the day, it wasn't as smooth at night. During the day, he was alert enough to take his potions as soon as he started to feel sick, often doing it before people realised what was happening, because it was one thing to admit that he was having attacks, but a different one to show it. However, at night, he wasn't ready to stop them and often he woke up already in the midst of an attack. The past night was no exception. If anything, it was worse.
The first time, he woke up cluching at his neck, trying to breathe. The trashing was eough to alert Sirius. The second time, their sleep was broken by screaming under the Cruciatus. Thankfully, potions and silencing charms were enough to ensure that only he and Sirius were aware of the fact. There were a few more attacks until in the early morning, he woke up screaming again. For a moment, he thought that it was the Cruciatus again, but it felt different. The blood soon confirmed it. After that, it was a windwirld of activity with Nott and Snape and parents, but finally, he stopped bleeding, and he hoped to get some more sleep, but he was too exhausted to do so.
He curled up around Sirius, holding him tight. He was solid under his touch, and the one person who could remind him that death was not preferable to this pain. "This has been eventful," he said, trying to joke, but not doing a very good job of it.
