It was true. Molly was used to doing, and fixing. But there wasn't anything she could do or fix.
She squeezed James's hand in return, then looked down at the way their hands joined. "I remember the first time I ever held you," she said quietly, turning her hand over so that his was on top. "You weren't much bigger than a minute, but how you yelled. You made sure we all knew you were around..." She patted his hand with her other, enclosing his warmly.
