Sirius didn't even know what to explain why he'd talked to Snape in the first place, mostly he just didn't know what to say to him in general and of course he couldn't make much of his meaning either.
He could feel James getting worked up, and when James turned to him again, he knew before James even managed to get the strangled words out. He was moving, opening the box of vials quickly and picking the correct potion with surer hands this time than he had the last and opening the vial lifting it up so James could drink.
"Come on Jamie." He said quietly as he made sure he got the potion down, he hated this, hated the way they could go so quickly from talking to an attack - hated the way he could see it coming.
"Maybe we could move on to less exciting topics now?" He suggested a moment later, his own heart racing as he looked between the two brothers.
