Lucius patted his leg. "You'll find a way to forget what you cannot live with," he said. "And the rest will give you strength." Flicking his wand, he levitated the chess board out of the way.
"You need your rest," he said, standing up. "And when you're feeling better we'll resume our lessons. And finish the game." He did not acknowledge that Scorpius did not have time on his side.
"I know you won't serve him. None of us will this time around. This time he hopefully stands alone."
