"I'm dying, not just locked away," Scorpius pointed out. "I have a curse that runs through me. There isn't much else that I am looking forward to if it does go away." He thought that maybe Craig was right and he did need to make some plans after all. It would help. There was just nothing that he really wanted to plan on.
"You could always show me both. I want to see them all," he said, moving a piece of his own. He was already thinking of how he wanted his pawns set. "You made it through though. You must have had something left. You are a lot stronger than I am." It was easy to admit that to his grandfather. The man was a stone, not to his family, but when he needed it. He also knew that the mission his father had received had changed the whole family. Really it was what brought them to eventually betray the man.
"Can I ask you something? I don't mean for you to do this or anything but if Voldemort were to ask you to come back and agree to cure me in exchange, would you do it?" He wasn't sure why he asked, but he wanted to know how far his grandfather would go to see that he lived. Was there a limit there?
