Ted's eyes crinkled in the corners at her obviously fake statement. He was amused by her, though as a semi-responsible adult he supposed he was required to be a good example, but he liked that she spoke her mind and would hate to put a stopper on that.
"Ministry workers are hip?" he asked with a small smile. "I've been spending it mostly with family," he told her after a second. He had been about to respond with a quip about cauldron bottoms, but considering she wasn't a Weasley (or associated with one), she probably would not get the in joke.
"I'm afraid I'm frightfully boring," Ted continued with a wave of his hand. "I'm thinking about going on holiday, but that requires more thought."
