Lucius smirked at the murmured joke, giving a slight nod to indicate that maybe that was not such a horrible idea. "Unfortunately my wife has more to do with our luck than I this time, for that I must give her credit. Lying to the Dark Lord is not an easy thing to do." But then his wife was perfect, or he would not have married her.
"Lupin?" Lucius said with a sneer. "Yes the house elves told me the filthy creature was in my house. Now there you have something I will not get used to in this situation," he said. "The little Gryffindor half blood up there even tried to come into my library," he said, not concerning himself that he was speaking to another half blood. This was Severus, it wasn't the same thing. "The Vaiseys certainly have fallen far," he said. "Well some of them. Luckily Walter is still as well bred as he always was. It was a shame on his brother."
He took a sip of his cognac and nodded. "As could be expected then. And I never had much faith in the Weasley. What can one expect? At least Stephen is Theodore's boy, and said to be brilliant in his field."
"I am surprised he would not be better versed in the Dark Art's, with Theodore being the head of the Department of Mysteries and his grandfather being so skilled where the Dark Art's are concerned." It was worrisome how much knowledge had been lost in just a few generations. When Scorpius was recovered he'd make sure he had vast training in the Dark Arts. He might need it.
