Summary: Harry speaks to his son about what happened yesterday
Harry was exhausted, but now was not the time to sleep. Events of yesterday and last night had happened so rapidly that sleeping had not been an option, and he'd barely had time to see his son to ask him how he was holding up after Dylan's attack - well besides finding him in bed with Sirius.
Now that Scorpius was returned, he could for the first time really think of the implications. His godfather was in all likelihood having some sort of sexual relationship with his son. That alone was enough to make his head spin, but to add to it his son was suffering from a curse and could literary die from too much physical strain.
Still, even though he wanted to lecture and worry and hover, he couldn't forget the conversation he'd had with Jamie. He'd asked him how he'd react if he had a boyfriend, and then said he'd had no one. Yesterday he'd lied to his face. Had he been so afraid of his reaction? Was he so worried that he'd forbid them from seeing each other?
He couldn't alienate his son further, though he did need to speak to him, and to Sirius. But he wanted to talk to them alone, though they'd probably have their stories straight by now. But still, he had to try to get them to trust him with the truth, and so he'd asked one of the house elf to tell him when James was alone. As he walked to James' room, he tried to keep in mind that there had been potions on the bed side table. That signalled some level of responsibility, and this was where he had the chance to show his son he trusted him as an adult.
Taking a deep breath, he knocked and entered his son's room, waiting until he emerged from the shower. "How are you feeling?" he asked. "You've had an eventful couple of days."
