Summary: Scorpius returns to chaos
Scorpius woke up at Patrick's feeling awful. His stomach was starting in and he knew he had to go back. He forced it in place and tried to pull himself together, taking shaky breaths. He found a piece of parchment and scribbled a quick thank you. His stomach rolled again. "Damn it," he grumbled and pulled his coat around him before going outside.
He hit the streets quickly. He would have liked the area had he not felt the way he did. He ducked around the side of the building when his stomach heaved. Leaning against it, he wiped his mouth and waited for it to pass. He could just imagine what he looked like, probably some vagrant who had too much to drink the night before, not the wealthy Malfoy heir. He laughed at the thought. Salazar, this was fucked up. Yes, it was stupid, escaping, but he needed it. He looked up and watched some birds flying and felt the cold wind blowing. How much longer would it take and how bad would it hurt?
He stayed a few more minutes before stepping out and apparating himself home. He looked around the antechamber where he had started the night before. He could hear people but his head was swimming and his eyes didn't focus. He knew where the stair were and stumbled off towards them, caught by a headrush that seemed to turn the world black. He figured it was the side effects of the apparation while sick, not that it helped at the moment. Tripping over the first step, he came down on all fours, gasping. There was another sensation that he couldn't pinpoint. The lightning strike was pain like he had never known, perhaps something like his grandfather had experienced. It had made him crawl. He didn't remember being in the same position, although he was. All he knew was pain. He was screaming, even though he wasn't really aware of how. In between he tried to breathe and move, and then he fell, landing on the floor at the base of the stairs with his body still convulsing.
