RP: I'm what?! Who: Hannah Abbott, NPC Healer...then Neville later Where: St. Mungo's, then flat above the Leaky When: November 12, 2024 Rating/Warnings: a little freaked out Hannah Summary: Hannah finds out some unexpected news
"I'm pregnant?!"
Hannah looked at her Healer in disbelief, sitting on the patient table in a flimsy cotton robe. Standard issue, St. Mungo's patient wear which Hannah always hated because they never closed properly in the back for her liking.
"That's...no, you must have done the test wrong. I can't be pregnant," she said, laughing nervously after.
"Erm, yes...you are, Ms. Abbott. It's impossible to get a false positive with pregnancy testing these days. You are most definately, and very pregnant. About eight weeks by my estimation. I'm surprised you haven't thought about the possibility," her Healer said, an amused look on his face.
"My periods have always been sporadic and it's not odd that I don't have one for a few months, especially as I've gotten older," Hannah replied, in a daze and looking off thinking about...
Oh hell.
"You're absolutely sure?"
The Healer sighed, giving Hannah a stern look. "Ms. Abbott, I'm as sure as the sun is bright. You are pregnant. So as such, you're going to have to start taking better care of yourself - your diet. I'm going to perscribe you some pre-natal potion for you to take every day," he said, writing things down with his quill on a pad of parchment.
"Yes, yes I know all that. I've had two children before," she said, irritated. Then a wave of nausea hit her and Hannah clamped her lips down and counted to try and prevent from vomiting.
"From your reaction I can only assume that this was an unplanned pregnancy. If you don't want to keep the child..."
Hannah's eyes went open, flashing annoyance. "Absolutely not. I don't believe in...that. Yes, this was unexpected but not life threatening."
"Will a paternity test be necessary?" her Healer asked delicately.
Hannah sighed, rubbing her face with her hand. "No...actually. It's my ex-husband. We've sort of reconciled lately."
I'll say...oh hell in a handbasket, what am I going to tell the children?
"When am I due?"
"Well, do you know when you could have conceived?"
Hannah smirked. "Yeah, October 9th." She flushed, remembering that evening with Neville and how they could barely keep their hands off each other. She had been sore the next entire day after, but it had been a good feeling.
"Hmmm...around the beginning of July - 1st or 2nd from what I can calculate here," the Healer said, then gave Hannah a smile. "So, congratulations Ms. Abbott."

When Hannah arrived back home, she sat at her kitchen table with a restoritave cup of tea and her pre-natal potions in front of her.
Pregnant. Oh gods, how could she be so reckless! Of course she hadn't been on any potions and her and Neville....well she hadn't thought that she would get pregnant again. Stupid, silly woman - Hannah chided to herself. Of course, she knew what the next thing she had to do.
Neville,
Please come by the flat right after school finishes. There's some things we need to discuss.
Love, Hannah
She then got up and went for a shower to try and clear her head, and by the time Neville had arrived she was sound asleep in bed, still in her bathrobe.
