"Thank you." He caught the look in her eye and gave a lopsided grin. "Did you want a bite?" he asked, though he doubted it was the apple she was eying. Ted tried to lick most of the sticky sweet away from his lips before he leaned over to brush them across her cheek. "And you look beautiful. I must have one of the most beautiful witches in the room on my room."
When she asked after Remus, he shrugged. "I think most everyone is here tonight. I know it was supposed to be a great meeting of the Marauder minds, which is scary enough in and of itself. But if we don't run into him, I'm sure we can arrange something later where the two of you could meet."
Ted was slowly getting used to the idea that he had a father. At least Remus seemed to want to have something to do with him. But that was a dark line of thoughts he really shouldn't cultivate, especially on a night such as this.
