"Yeah, well, I don't want the wife. It was one thing when Mother had disowned you, but I don't see why I have to do it now. Can't you just have the wife and children and I'll raise them? I don't mind that part." He would make sure Sirius raised them right anyway, so that wasn't much of an imposition.
"I'll make you a deal. You behave for the next year, and I'll wear them for next Halloween." He could claim temporary insanity or a costume. "They are Muggle clothes since they are officially not allowed at the Ministry." He smirked. "The only good thing about you working at the Ministry is that I'll see you in robes every day, so I suggest you get used to, because I'm sure these are softer than anything they provide as uniform."
"Not all the times and not all people," he answered. "I'm giving you and your friends the benefit of the doubt." Except for Potter Sr., because he would never be able to trust that man that had brought so much grief in Sirius' life. "Dumbledore, much like Lucius, is one that should never be trusted, because they both have ulterior motives no matter what they say." He sighed. "And we don't have to discuss this now. You can go on and find your friends. I know you're dying to." He felt like a parent sending his child off to play, but this was Sirius and his maturity level stopped around the age of thirteen so it was appropriate. "Go have fun and don't cause too much trouble."
