How did you explain to a twenty year old that common courtesy was something you showed even to those you were not fond of? He sighed, wondering if he could physically guide James from the crowd for what he had to say he did not want to say so that others could hear.
"James, stop that," he said a bit sharply when James addressed Peter, giving up and getting a wandless privacy spell up. They were less powerful than those cast with a wand, but good enough.
"You wonder how I can speak to someone I know betrayed your family? The same way I can nod and greet my uncle when I have to though I know he killed my parents. It's called acting."
"Do you think you were the only one who lost family in the war? You had to open a box with a woman's ear in it, I had the misfortune to open one with my mother's eye in it. I can still pretend that I do not want to kill my uncle when in crowds simply because it's necessary."
