"The oldest son of one of the most ancient families." He repeated. "I'd say that hole in the family tree where my name was probably begs to differ." He had gotten over that little slight years ago - after all his mother had blasted off people for far less than his transgressions. "But seeing as it's just you and me now I suppose I can start being that oldest son again."
Sirius kept his face blank, despite the urge to grin. "No of course you wouldn't know anything about guilting your only brother into wearing these robes - there are gold buttons on this, did you know that?" He shrugged with a small laugh. "I happen to think I look good in Gryffindor red, thank you very much." He supposed he looked good in these robes as well - because he seriously doubted Regulus would have allowed him to go out in something that didn't make him look good.
"I heard Dumbledore was back." Sirius grinned, deciding it was best to steer clear of talking about his friends returning - despite appearances he wasn't completely oblivious about his brother's dislike for them. But Dumbledore was something he could talk about. "If I hear anything I'll let you know, though from what I've heard he's been more concerned with the colors of his robes than anything else." Which of course meant that he was likely working out Merlin knew how many other different things at the same time.
