Ben nearly pouted at Ronan, but before he could Dumbledore was grinning at them and it was impossible not to grin back. The man was nearly as irresistible as Ben himself was. He beamed at the venerable wizard, but watched very closely as he preformed the spell, wandlessly.
"Brilliant," he breathed, grinning down at his robes. He would probably need a wand to get the same effects, at least the first few times, but the spell was easy enough to remember. "Thank you! It will come in handy." He made no move to take the spell off, as he rather enjoyed the effects. "I'm in a band, and these will make fantastic special effects if we ever get an actual paying gig."
"I'm Ben Goldstein, and this is Ronan Derrick," he said, still grinning. He linked his hand with Ronan's, unconcerned that he was holding hands with another man in front of someone as powerful as Dumbledore. "My parents were both in Ravenclaw, but Ronan here is Dutch."
