As worried as Cass was about Dylan, was enjoying himself tonight. The party was usual Malfoy standard, which meant perfect and the kind he'd grown up with before his parents were killed. Long since was the time when he'd been able to easily afford the kind of dressrobes that the Malfoy's had, or the times when he'd transfigured his normal robes to look like dressrobes, but gone was not his eye for the latter.
Even from across the room he could see that Pettigrew's robes were transfigured. No wonder. What worried him more though was that during the time that had gone since he first spotted Pettigrew to the next time he'd looked James had reached him, and not at all surprising looked as if he wanted to hex him.
It was a good thing he did not have his wand, Cass thought as he made his way over to them. He reached them just in time to hear James' threat. "James'" he said pleasantly, a smile on his face. "How are you feeling tonight? You and Dylan still feeling all right?" And if he moved slightly between the two, then so be it. He nodded politely towards Pettigrew, but did not say more, right now it was a simple matter of getting James to walk away before he made a scene.
