The funeral for her husband had been today, and everything had been an entire blur. Alistair had been with her throughout everything, even taking in owls and the food that people insisted on sending or dropping off at the store.
Juniper decided that day that she detested funeral food, despite the 'good meaning' people had behind it. She told Alistair to either toss it or take it home himself - or take it to the Ministry where his co-workers could eat it. She had no appetite anyhow.
After staring into a cold cup of tea for an hour, Juniper suddenly looked over to the pile of sympathy cards on her kitchen counter and decided she should do something lest she go mad. The first letter was from Healer Goldstein, and that made her smile for just the briefest moments. He was such a lovely man. If she could cry anymore, she would have from his thoughtfulness.
Dear Healer Goldstein,
Thank you for those kind words. That you've thought of me while all that is happening at Hogwarts means a great deal.
I appreciate the potions greatly, and should I need anything more I won't hesitate in owling you.
