"I know, that's why I'm saying think about it very carefully," James said. "There's a lot of magic that I find cool, but I'd never let anyone mess with my head."
He grinned. "I'm amazing, aren't I? I could be in one of those magazines," he said, winking.
James shrugged, because he didn't think that evil needed a reason. "I don't think he cares about reasons. He hates people; he kills them. We can talk about it for days, but that's the bottom line." He kissed her cheek, before getting up. "Don't worry about it now, okay? We'll protect you, but for now I have to go. I'll see you soon, though. I doubt I'll be here tomorrow or the day after, but as soon as I have a few minutes I'll stop by." He squeezed her hand and then left her hoping to catch those bastards and have a quiet day after the full moon.
