"When we were married we had a weird relationship. We loved each other, almost too much I think, but I don't know if we would have lasted long if it hadn't been for Patrick arriving early into the marriage. Then we stayed together until the children went to Hogwarts but honestly we really are better off as friends," she said. "We argued a lot, I worked a lot, we never spent any time together without the children. It just didn't work. Now we spend time together occasionally with no expectations, just a cup of tea and a chat. It's nice."
Tracey gave Callahan a look but didn't disagree. She didn't want Marcus around, not when she knew about him and Patrick and Adrian didn't, but neither did she want her son absent at Christmas.
"Dumbledore-" Tracey was temporarily speechless. "Where? How? Oh my god if he's back- How old is he? Old enough to know more than a teenage Voldemort?"
