He was taken back by Dominique's sudden anger towards him, and Terry's brow scrunched in confusion as he looked at her. He cleared his throat.
"Yes of course - I'm sorry, I didn't mean to suggest otherwise," he murmured.
She seemed to have calmed down after her outburst, and Terry didn't hold it against her. The arrival of her Uncle was certainly most stressful on the entire Weasley clan and those close to it.
Terry frowned again at her question, for the truth was he didn't remember much of it at all. He couldn't recall the next morning how he got home, but he chastised himself for getting into such a state. Dominique must have seen just how drunk he had gotten, and Terry gave her a wincing smile.
"I paid for it plenty the next morning, even after taking a potion," he advised. "But thank you for asking after me. I-"
The way she was standing at the door, about to leave and a memory came to Terry. A memory of Dominique standing the same way at his bedroom door, about to leave...just after.
Oh gods. Terry's eyes flew to the witch's mouth, and he remembered quite clearly now. He had kissed her. Oh hell, she'd practically dragged him to his flat after and he was drunk and he'd kissed her...
"Excuse me I have to go...do - something," Terry whispered hoarsely, then turned and left Dominique to visit her Uncle and family.
