She shrugged and took the bowl of apples, covered in cinnamon and delicious spices over to the pie tin where the pastry was waiting to be filled. She went about arranging the slices in the pie tin. "I don't know if we know it first, but from what I understand we do tend to say it first. But I don't think it's to make you feel bad."
Once the slices were in the tin, she folded the pastry ends over it and slid it in the oven, making sure there was still room for the potatoes, before moving to the stove. The peels and left overs from the apples were in a large pot and she went about making a syrup for the tart. "Girls are just more emotional than boys. You've got plenty of girl cousins, you should know this. It's easier for girls to tell boys they love them first. We don't want to make you feel like you're slacking. We want to make you more comfortable with the idea."
