"Deserve? Please. More like he deserves being cold old," he snickered. "Yeah, you're the reason your husband and I are friends; you're the glue that holds the friendship together."
He wasn't entirely sure about that last claim, but it seemed like the right thing to say. She was certainly the reason he was friends with Evan. He knew the two wouldn't have been good friends had it not been for Juniper.
"Fine, but only because I'm too exhausted to explain molecular bonds," he stifled another yawn. "Please, nothing could be bad for that arse."
He whistled innocently.
"Welcome to the club, my owl doesn't like me either. Speaking of Horatio, I'm sure he'd love to see you. Why don't you and Evan come over for dinner sometime soon? I'll even let you bring dessert."
