Death Eater Return Cover Up
In an exclusive discovery, the Daily Prophet has learnt that Peter Pettigrew has returned. While the details of his come back are being kept confidential, a confidential source has revealed that Mr. Pettigrew was not incarcerated. In a more shocking development, we have discovered that not only is he free, but he has been given a flat in Diagon Alley at Ministry Expenses.
Mr. Pettigrew was one of Voldemort's Death Eater, and is allegedly responsible for bringing the Dark Lord back to life in the spring of 1995. It is rumored that Mr. Pettigrew was a loyal follower since the late 1970s. While the true nature of his involved was never discovered because of his untimely death, there is no doubt that he was instrumental in the resurrection of the Dark Lord.
Given the history, why is the Minister releasing? Are the Malfoys supporting the Dark Lord once more? If so, why is Mr. Potter going along?
Potter Mystery
The plot thickens around the involvement of James Sirius Potter in the rescue of the Muggle woman brought to St. Mungo's. After the information linking, the young Potter to the Muggle, sources inside the hospital tell us that he's been seen frequently there.
While there have been some suggestions that Mr. Potter is romantically involved with the woman and such a connection was the reason for her kidnapping, other sources have suggested that Mr. Potter has been hexed as well, but he's not being kept at St. Mungo's for security reasons.
We have tried to clear up the matter with both Mr. Potter, and his father, Harry Potter. Both men have declined to comment on the situation, letting speculations rise.
Mystery at Borgin & Burkes
The disreputable shop in Knockturn Alley known as Borgin & Burkes has been recently undergoing a change of ownership since Edward Borgin died two years ago in 2022. His silent partner, Caractacus Burke, died the two years prior and after Borgin's passing ownership was given to Burke's daughter, Jennifer (30), who had been recently re-organizing the shop for a grand re-opening, sources tell the Prophet.
Since the start of August and for many weeks after there had been much activity at Borgin & Burkes, but it has all been put to a standstill. The shop is locked up again, the windows dark and no sign of Ms. Burke has been seen entering or exiting the building as before. Sources within the Ministry have confirmed that no missing person's report has been filed, and owls sent to the Burke residence have gone unanswered.
Perhaps the elusive Ms. Burke has gone on an extended vacation?
"It's very strange, but strangeness has always been a part of this area," a local resident has stated to the Prophet. "Still, some of us were looking forward to seeing Borgin & Burkes up and running again. Maybe the new owner got tired of fixing the place up, which would be a shame. It looked promising to have another respectible business in the area."
Borgin & Burkes was established in 1863 by Caractacus Burke Sr. and his partner, Joseph Borgin, the father of the late Edward Borgin and has been known in the past to specialize in the buying and selling of dark artifacts.
