"But... Aren't they dangerous?" she asked, looking stricken. "Like innately? They're not human, are they?"
"And I might be able to help. If they don't cure this then-" She cut herself off and shrugged. "I might as well be useful. Sitting here all day reading magazines isn't helping anybody... Especially not me considering I have little to no clue to any of the things they are referring to in the magazines."
She grinned happily. "Ace, it'll be awesome to get out of here," she said, meaning it. She was so sick of being cooped up. "I'm used to running for an hour every day along the Embankment. I'm going to be so out of shape by the time I'm out of here."
Allison snorted in amusement. "Is that all it takes? Christ, your society really is starved for celebrity, isn't it? Don't worry, I won't let my sudden fame go to my head," she joked. "Although what do you mean by 'going on'?"
