Chris had left a note for Colin, in case he wanted to join him. He refused to give into worry about where his uncle was and if he was okay. But he really didn't want to stay home alone and Eros didn't feel right. Odd, how he'd tapered off to just a couple of nights a week and even then just three or four dances and going home.
Slowly, even after his night with Jake a few weeks back, he felt like he was coming back to himself, not as overboard as he'd been when he first arrived. Or maybe as Patrick had put it, to the best of Chris' memory, don't push, just let things happen in their own time.
Smiling and ordering a firewhisky, which he knew he's just sip, he relaxed, glad to be part of the crowd but not standing out.
