RP: Bottom Of The Glass Who:Terry Boot, Dominique Weasley, open Where: Leaky Cauldron, Diagon Alley When: October 10, 2024 Rating/Warnings: A brief kiss Summary: Terry's still dealing with Eddie's death and finds comfort in a glass
It seemed that his dreams had permanently turned into nightmares since Eddie's death. Terry couldn't keep the image of the boy's dead eyes out of his mind, and he had even begun to take dreamless sleep potion at night in order for him to get enough rest to teach classes.
Thank gods for Ginny, for Terry knew he wouldn't have been able to handle the class load from day to day without her. He knew he should be talking to someone about things, but Terry wasn't one for letting people in. He had been living his life a loner for so long, he didn't even consider anyone as a close mate. Sure, Neville and Oliver and Ginny were good friends, and even Hermione had been checking in on him but Terry acted his usual, friendly and easy-going self. He didn't want them to know how much the little boy's death was affecting him.
Sitting at the Leaky on a Saturday night probably wasn't the best way for dealing with things, but Terry was tired of staying inside and he was never one for drinking alone either. At the bar, he asked for another pint of ale from the pretty red headed bar maid, the alcohol doing a rather good job at anesthetizing his emotions.
"Thanks, love," Terry said as the pint was delivered in front of him.
