RP: A clearer head than mine? Who: James, Chris Where: Garden Court, Surrey When: Early afternoon 10 October, 2024 Rating/Warnings: Summary: Chris has too much time and food on his hands than is good for him, maybe James can help?
This waking up in the middle of the night stuff was getting old. As well as self defeating. Especially as it was from a vague sense of worry that he couldn't get past or define, as if somoene had done a Confundus on him. Eventually, he'd be able to go back to sleep but only after baking something. The process and the smells comforted him so that sleep would come again. But as he'd been doing that since Colin had come back he had a kitchen full of things that neither he nor Colin could possibly eat all of, unless they wanted to be the size of a Hippogryff.
He debated sending it to his Mum and Da but if he did they'd know what it meant and his Da was trying to adjust to his brother's return already, there was no need to add worry about Chris to that. So, that left Ben and Lori. But Ben had more housemates than Lori did, and even though James had said biscuits were from Grandmothers to make, he hadn't said anything about bread, or brownies. But he had said not to worry about coming over, and Chris wanted to get out of the house, and if possible out of his own head. Even if for a few moments. That decided, he bundled the goodies up and tossed the powder in the Floo.
Tumbling out, he couldn't help but smile. It would have been great to see Ben's face, but James was good too.
