"That's what I mean. I'm encouraging you to let go just a bit around me, Regulus. I know how proper and upstanding you have had to be and I respect that, I really do. But you've been given a second chance at life now. I don't know what's going to happen, how long you might have. Hell you could disappear again tomorrow or next week. I suppose what I am really trying to say is that with me, you are safe to act out of the norms you've been expected before," Jake said. "And yes, you still being here is indicative of how already you're not conforming with the past all the time."
Jake smiled. "They rather frown on us Healers performing such magic, especially on Muggles though gods knows it's been tempting. I can live with nice, even if it isn't your type. I'm just not used to hearing that sort of thing unless someone's been heavily drugged."
He took another sip, fortifying himself with the wine and distracting his thoughts away from Regulus' lower lip. "There's plenty of hours in the evening," he reasoned. Jake was somewhat sad after Regulus' fingers removed from his hair, but instead of showing it he waved his hand towards the living room.
"After you. So, how are the preparations in restoring Black House?"
