"Hey, don't," he said, tapping Marcus' cheek. "I'm okay. I mean... I go upset, but it didn't last long. You know me, I'm always fine." He stretched up and kissed Marcus. "It was stupid of me to think that she'd understand, considering that no one else does. It would have been nice, but at least she promised not to interfere from now on. So something good came out of it."
Patrick grinned, and then turned his head to kiss the inside of Marcus' arm. "Then stop apologising when you did nothing wrong. I don't need deeds, and I don't need words either. I need you."
He slid off the mattress, trying not to make it move much. After finding the vial, he returned and stood on Marcus' side. "All right, drink up," he said, handing him the vial. "And for the record, I like your body the way it is, but you need to take better care of it."
