Werewolf Attack
On Sunday morning, the Auror Department was called to Lowestorft, England to investigate the murders of a family of three. The gruesome attack was discovered by Mrs. Jones, mother of the deceased Mrs. Perkins when she went to visit her daughter and her family. Mrs. Jones found the bodies of her daughter, her son-in-law and her four year old grandson. While the Department has not confirmed that it was a werewolf attack, a confidential source has exclusively confirmed to the Daily Prophet that it was indeed a werewolf attack. However, no details about the attack have been made public.
This marks the second attack on wizarding families and nothing seems to be done to stop these animals that are killing us with impunity. One must wonder if protectionist factions inside the Ministry bent on protecting Werewolves aren't the real reason why the Aurors aren't actively going after these killers.
Attack on St. Mungo's
There are still no arrests in the case of the attack on St. Mungo's that the Daily Prophet reported yesterday. The attack occured at 5:14 on Saturday night. The explosion was heard through the lower floors. The staff promptly secured all patients areas, avoiding widespread panic. Internal security discovered a hole in the wall of one of the Healers' room. The hole lead to the Muggle street behind St. Mungo's.
Obliviators were on the scene, interrogating the Muggles, but as of now there are no suspects. Muggles have reported the attack as an explosion of illegal fireworks, a scenario created by the Obliviators.
Maria Warrington, age 16, vanished from the hospital at the time of the attack, however she was later found at home. No injuries or fatalities were sustained.
More Deaths
A body magically burnt was found on Sunday morning in Pyrford Village. The body was too damaged to be identified, however he was found at the home of Jeremiah Nutberry and the owner is missing.
The Aurors have no suspects and are investigating all possibilities. With the Dark Lord and some of his Death Eaters on the run, the Daily Prophet would venture to say that it is not hard to come up with a suspects. After all, we have been free of murders for twenty-six years.
