Cho wanted to argue, wanted to be sure he was safely in the Astronomy tower, but knew it shouldn't be her place, even as his teacher.
She took the book from him, wondering for a moment at the absurdity of it all - she shouldn't be Cedric's teacher, she shouldn't be two decades older than him. This child should have grown with her, he should have a career and they probably would have had children Eddie's age and Roger would be their uncle just like she had been his son's aunt. Sighing, she thanked him for the book, and nodded. "Just be sure to be on the look out, we'd hate for anything to happen to anymore students." She wanted to ask if he'd heard of Eddie, if he knew that it was Roger's son, someone he had been very close to. Cho wanted to know if he'd been in touch with Roger at all, that perhaps his presence could ease some of Roger's pain, but she didn't.
Lingering, she realized she was staring at him in the middle of the hall in the middle of the night and she stepped back, "I'll just be going then, have a good lesson," and with that she made to depart, walking at a good pace to just get away.
She made the mistake of looking back for just a moment, tears shining in her eyes with the knowledge that even magic couldn't make some things right.
