"Oh goodness," Cho exclaimed, dropping the books and parchment she'd been hauling back to her quarters from the library. Daddy had nodded off early today and a quickly floo call to check in on Roger, she'd come back to the castle to catch up on the work she'd been missing taking care of them.
She hadn't expected anyone to be around.
Picking up the books, her hair falling into her face she looked up still startled and caught her breath, nearly choking. She'd done a fabulous job of avoiding the returned Cedric Diggory; the boy who had once been the love of her life, who had died decades ago and was now her student, young enough to be her son. In class she only called on him when she absolutely had to, and his marks had been just fine so she hadn't needed to speak with him outside of her class discussions.
And there he was. Still standing taller than her, looking as if a day hadn't passed since he was a Triwizard Champion and she was hanging on his every word. The strangeness of the situation clouded her thoughts for a moment and then she shook her head. "Cedric, it's no problem, of course."
