Dylan was just heading back with the drinks - or rather drink, singular. His own drink consisted of a butterbeer, something that had the bartender raise an eyebrow.
He nearly dropped the bottle and glass when he saw Patrick kiss Lori, and felt an almost irresistible urge to hex the living daylight out of him. Which of course belied everything he'd told Patrick about not taking kissing serious before, but right now he didn't really care.
He caught himself, and moved quickly, hearing Lori ask Patrick if he kissed just about everyone, and then Patrick ask what was wrong with him. Only then did it dawn on him that Patrick thought Lori was Sandy. That dampened some of the worst jealousy.
"Yes he does," he answered Lori as he returned, focusing on him - not Patrick right about now. "Or tries to at least," he added with a pointed look at Patrick, forcing himself to at least seem as if it wasn't a huge deal. It was Patrick's birthday after all.
"I thought I told you there was someone here who took kissing serious, didn't I?" he added, voice almost normal and the smile almost genuine. "And your intentions already failed when I told you no, didn't they?"
