Scorpius picked off two drinks for the both of them on a tray that was floating by. He knew better than to drink too much but one or two wouldn't hurt. "Oh really," he said, quick on the uptake. "What if I dare you?" The smirk was back, almost an exact copy of his father's except that Scorpius was more playful than mean.
"I think that was just the luck of the draw there. I have never been told I have to marry a blond, or even really that I have to marry. They haven't tried to tie me to a wealthy little pureblood yet." That was something he was quite glad for, although he knew that his mother would love a grandbaby someday and his father fully expected him to produce a suitable heir.
He didn't look at the dancers just yet, keeping his eyes on James. He was more interested in James reaction to a possible dare than anything else.
