Seeing Colin is so much pain--emotional or physical--was like a knife to the abdomen. He wanted nothing more than to take Colin in his arms and tell him it was going to be okay. But he couldn't; too much time had passed and it wasn't appropriate.
"Floo St. Mungo's to tell them we're coming through and to have sedatives available," he told Ignatius. "Then contact Dennis Creevey." He gave the address, remembered from long ago letters he'd never answered.
He approached Colin carefully, kept his voice low. "Colin, I know you have a lot of questions, and I'll answer them, but right now we need to go to St. Mungos, the Healers need to look you over, and then you can see Dennis. I promise he's alive and well, and will be so happy to see you."
