RP: Monday morning yet again Who: Cho Chang, 6th year Arithmancy students Where: Arithmancy classroom, Hogwarts When: September 28th, 2024, 10:30 am Rating/Warnings: Summary: Cho teaches 6th year Arithmancy on a Monday morning
Professor Chang sat at the head of the class, a Gyrffindor and a Slytherin girl staring each other down in the back of the room while she explained the theory of the current equations that were working on. Finally she stopped, looked pointedly at the Slytherin - a girl known to cause trouble all over the school - and asked, "Miss Warrington am I bothering you in some way? Am I interrupting your obviously intense negotiations?" The girl's attention snapped to the front, a dangerous glint in her eye as always and shook her head, "No, Professor," she smiled. Cho replied, "Good, then maybe you can tell us the significance of moon placement while working within the constraints of this equation?" Maria Warrington rolled her eyes and proceeding to bend her head and doodle on a parchment. "Didn't think so," Cho shook her head. The 6th years seemed particularly anxious today.
"Can anyone else?" She asked the class, hoping for a hesitant hand or two. The changes in the school schedule hadn't affected her classes too much, she only taught year three and above for the subject no matter what (it being an elective), and so teaching all of the Houses together was nothing new. It had affected the castle and the students greatly, though, of course. She'd worried that their work would suffer but things in that respect hadn't changed much, it was their mood. Fear was obvious at times, tensions were high during free moments, keeping all of the children in the Great Hall during open periods had caused more than one scuffle.
Finally, a hand raised slowly in the back. Cho smiled, lines crinkling in the corners of her eyes, showing how pleased she was, "Yes?"
