RP: Who are you? Who: Maria, Natasha Where: The Warrington house on the coast of South Hams When: September 26, 2024, late evening Rating/Warnings: TBA Summary: Maria has a very important encounter, even if she doesn't know it yet.
Maria couldn't sleep. She'd hated being in the Slytherin common room all the time, but at least there she had Louis to bother and the other students to terrorize. Here at home, her father hovered constantly and she couldn't get any good photos thanks to the rocky yard, gray skies, and dark forest in the back. The house was beautiful, M couldn't deny her father's talent, but it was so secluded and silent; it drove Maria nearly batty.
The evening was cool, her father had gone to bed some time ago with warnings that she shouldn't stay up too late. She'd been spread out in the den with the latest coffee table book he'd picked up for her in London, and she barely nodded her agreement before he'd been gone. The middle of the night, she hadn't been able to calm down her brain long enough to go to bed - thoughts about school, the coming Full, and being stuck in this rotten middle of nowhere home all bloody year keeping her up.
Finally giving up on the book, she took down her father's travel cloak and stepped silently outside, moving from the front, the rocky coast crunching under her shoes, to the back yard. The area was deathly silent, the moon bright and growing over the tree tops. Sitting on a quiet old swing from a tree just on the edge of the forest, she wrapped her father's cloak tightly around her shoulders and took a deep breath, taking in the incredibly fresh air and the scent of deeply moist trees.
Snapping her head head quickly in the direction of a strange - unfamiliar - scent on a piece of the breeze, she listened intently. Her nose was better than her ears, but all of her senses were still heightened thanks to her 'condition' as a Were. Eyes wide, she waited.
