"Okay," he nodded, turning from her and walking back into his room, Octavius jumping off the couch and following him, jumping up onto the bed and wagging his tail.
Atlas shook his head. "Not now, boy," he said. "I've got something more important to do." He went to his wardrobe and opened the doors, reaching around the bottom to grab a flannel blanket before heading back out.
"Follow me," he said, holding out his hand and motioning to the door with his head. "It's just a couple of flights of stairs."
Leading her out, they climbed up two flights of outside stairs, then pointed to the end of the landing. "There's a little ledge there. Use it to hoist yourself up."
