"I doubt it, I can't seem to strategize in the abstract. It's like history, I can't seem to grasp meaningless dates and stuff. It only falls into place for me if the people involved seem real and relatable with emotions that I can understand."
She rolled her eyes at him. "Dad you can't be any worse that some of the students are. They seem to get together, break up and then 'fall in love' again, all in the span of a week or so."
Wren bit her cheek, and then forced herself to stop. It was a bad habit and one she'd only noticed she did when she was pondering something. "I suppose, but that's true of everyone, not just opposite genders. We can imagine we know what someone thinks or feels, but we'll never really know for sure. Even if we've been through the same circumstances ourselves, right Dad? Because we've all been brought up differently, and in somewhat different circumstances, however minute those differentiations may be?"
