"I played Beater on the Slytherin Quidditch team back at school," Jake informed Chris with a grin. "Wasn't good enough to go pro, however. Not that I mind; Quidditch is fun, but I can't see myself as having that as a career."
He didn't say anything about wanting a pet. Jake liked creatures well enough, but it was never something that occupied his mind. He was busy plenty without feeling lonely.
"Something wrong with your neck?" he asked, watching Chris roll his head on his shoulders, as if he were tense. Jake couldn't help but ask - being a Healer meant noticing things like that all the time.
"There's nothing learning about it, Chris. You just do it. There's nothing wrong with wanting to make people happy, but you can't do that if you don't make yourself happy first," Jake told the younger wizard with a small frown. "You're too young to start living like a door mat."
He finished the wine in his glass, setting the empty vessel down and leaned against the counter as Chris prepared the pizza. Jake then grinned, and finally they were getting somewhere.
Jake didn't doubt that Chris found him attractive, but that the other wizard openly admitted it just then was progress. He stepped up to Chris, looking down at the eighteen year old and then ran a knuckle down Chris' cheek.
Leaning down, Jake pressed his lips softly against Chris' lovely looking mouth. It was a brief kiss, and then Jake pulled away.
