Neville couldn't really stop smiling, especially when Hannah continued on talking, smiling in spite of herself and giggling through a covered mouth. He tried not to laugh himself and made a soft 'shushing' noise with his own chuckling coming through until he cleared his throat and the magnitude of the situation set in.
"I know it was unexpected and ... I'm sorry to put how I felt, well, how I feel on you now. But, it wasn't really a spur of the moment type thing." It was true, he had missed Hannah for a long time but had convinced himself that she didn't, couldn't feel the same because they had divorced for some reason. "I've been wanting to say something for a while, I just didn't know how, or when."
He smiled when she said that they both loved each other... and that 'never' changed. Neville smiled calmly and ran his hand up and down her arm, almost absently while he thought. "Well..." he gulped, knowing that this was a big deal, for both of them and should probably require more thought and definitely not tell the kids until they knew for sure, either way. "...I would like to try, if you do." He quirked a smile and looked in the kitchen. "We could start with dinner?" Neville's voice got quiet as he watched Hannah's eyes, his heartbeat starting up again.
