"I'm pretty envious of her freedom as well. Still, I'm very glad she didn't have to grow up like we did." Neville hoped that despite people mysteriously returning from the dead, Minerva won't have to have the restrictions placed on her daily life.
In that moment afterward however, Neville forgot about who had returned, and everything happening at the school... even his concerns about who may return, and his hopes of who may return if this phenomena continued. He watched Hannah's face turn pink while he spoke, wondering why... maybe she had been found out, and had to fess up that she didn't really want him around at all? His stomach lurched at the thought but he continued on until Hannah spoke again.
With everything happening so fast and not knowing what, or who, the next day would bring, Neville felt empty - his family was broken and he didn't want that anymore - not for his children and not for Hannah either. "Then don't run away anymore, for whatever reason." He gulped and placed his hand over Hannah's that was resting on his chest. "But... I need you more than that Hannah." Neville watched her face carefully before impulse stole over him and he leaned down and kissed her, properly, like they had years ago.
